We both work full-time in a corporate setting in NYC and there’s Always candy, cookies, snacks and food left over from meetings — Breakfast pastries and lunch time Pizza are pretty much a daily thing.
So how can we stay healthy, avoid the constant temptation and junk food at the office? Easy……just don’t have any! Yes, that is a lot easier said than done, but would you normally eat Sour patch kids, M&M’s or Swedish Fish at 3:00 in the afternoon if it wasn’t starring you in the face? – Probably not!
You work too hard to blow it on something like that! Drink some hot tea and grab an apple to satisfy your craving. Please Don’t allow co-workers to pressure you, make you feel uncomfortably or guilty for making a healthy choice – Be Proud of Your Lifestyle. Also, stay mindful about snacking out of nervousness and stress. We know that the responsibilities and deadlines can become overwhelming, but just Stay Focused. Take a deep breath, relax and do one thing at a time. 🙂
Snacking on treats, goodies and leftover food from meetings is a lot less tempting when you bring healthy snacks to work. We bring fruit and our favorite protein bar with us – DALES!

Ask yourself – “Do I really want that chocolate… well I am a little hungry, but I have an apple in the refrigerator, so I’ll have that instead”. Yes, the food is free, but that does not mean you have to eat it. You can simply leave the room to avoid the temptation – outta sight, outta mind!
